HURST -- Nathan Eugene "Buddy" Burlison, 81, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2011. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Interment will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A native of Mumford, Tenn., Buddy was born July 8, 1930, to Curtis and Hazel Burlison. He was a humorous, generous person who had a passion for fishing. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 34 years of service. Buddy was a member of Hurst Assembly of God. Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Ruth Burlison, in 2009. Survivors: He is survived by his son, Bobby Burlison; grandchildren, Crystal Hancock and husband, Bryce, and David Burlison; and great-grandson, Colt Parker Hancock.
