Nickey “Nick” Joe Lynn Groze was born on August 14, 1939 in Fort Worth, Texas. He passed away on October 23, 2021 also in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 82 years old. Nick served our country in the United State Army. He retired from Hanson Concrete Products as concrete pipe sales representative. He was truly a gun enthusiast and enjoyed shooting skeet with friends any chance he got. He was a member of Fort Worth Trap and Skeet Club. As most Fort Worth natives, he also had a love/hate relationship with the Dallas Cowboys. Nick loved his dogs Della and Scottie who were his constant buddies and companions. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Ann (Rayfield) Groze; his wife, Gwendolyn Carol Groze; and his son, Christopher Groze. He is survived by his son, Stephen Groze and his wife, MaryBeth of Youngsville, Louisiana; and stepson, Brad Murphey of Fort Worth; he is also survived by granddaughter, Valerie Saunders and husband, Shelby with his great-grandson, Isaac Saunders; bonus grandchildren, Caitlyn Westfall, Timothy Murphy, Elizabeth Eyrich, Jacob Murphy and Noah Murphy. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Williams and Lucas Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 29, 2021 at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth.
