ODDIE INELL HARDEMAN

Oddie Inell Hardeman was born December 20, 1927, in Caldwell County, Texas. The lovely daughter was an angel sent to Hardy and Loursia Ellison Shaw. She grew up in the Lockhart area and completed her educational requirements in Fort Worth. In 1943 Oddie married Narvin T. Hardeman Sr. and from that union they were blessed with 7 wonderful children.  As an adult she joined Gospel Temple Christ Holy Sanctified Church under the leadership of the late Bishop E.L. McBride and then under Bishop Dewayne McBride where she attended faithfully and served as a Sunday School teacher and a speaker of God’s word until a decline in her health would no longer allowed her to attend in person.

During Oddie’s time with the Christ Holy Sanctified organization, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and walked closely with Him until the lord called her home to be with him. Oddie had an enjoyment of sewing, playing dominos, feeding and bird watching and petting and loving on a special dog in Houston named Bear. Most of all Mrs. Oddie loved being a witness and encourager of Jesus Christ to encourage others to accept salvation.

At the age of 94 on June 20, 2022, Oddie left the cares of this world to be in the presence of the lord. Oddie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Narvin T. Hardeman Sr., 5 sons, Alreen (Alvin) Shaw, Clarence, Narvin Jr., Ronney, and John Hardeman. She leaves to cherish her memory and her love, one son, Trevor J. and his wife Sandra “Princess” Hardeman, and one daughter Linda Nell Williams all of Fort Worth, three daughters in law Ruby Bosley of College Station (Dec. son Alvin),Darlene Hardeman (Dec. son Clarence), Gladys Hardeman (Dec. son Narvin Jr.) both of Fort Worth, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, her personal nail technician and granddaughter (Sabrina Starks), who was always prepared with her favorite shade of purple polish, a special friend B.J., and a host of other relatives and friends.
