Paul Edward "Ed" Hopkins

SUNSET -- Paul Edward Hopkins, 86, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2014. Service: 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at First Baptist Church, Alvord. Interment: 2 p.m. Friday in Bourland Cemetery, Keller. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home, Keller. Ed was born May 17, 1928, in Fort Worth to Paul and Goree Hopkins. He was employed by the GSA and U.S. Postal Service, and retired from the Birdville ISD. Ed was a longtime resident of Keller before moving to Sunset in 1995. He was a member of the Keller Masonic Lodge for 60 years along with being a founding member of the Keller Mounted Patrol. He was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 65 years, Clarice Crawford Hopkins; and his brothers, Leonard and Maurice Hopkins. Survivors: Sons, Joe Hopkins and his wife, Shirlene, and Carl Hopkins and his wife, Lea Ann; and three grandchildren, Tori, Courtney and Clay Hopkins.
