FORT WORTH -- Rayburn Crawford Peterson passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home. Interment: 9:30 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. RC was born July 18, 1924, in Rusk County, but had lived in the Fort Worth area most of his life. RC had a passion for racing and working on cars. He worked at Firestone Tires for over 30 years and Second Opinion for 19 years. RC loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports. He also enjoyed his weekly hamburger from his friend, Bill, at Clown Burger in Haltom City. Survivors: Daughter, Malissa Delashaw and husband, Bobby; sons, Jimmy Peterson, Tim Peterson, and Tommy Peterson and wife, Renee; grandchildren, Rachel, Brandon, Rusty, Jason and Tanner; great-grandchildren, Tasha, Tyler and Darrell; sister, Beth Debenport; his work family, Dan and Patricia Harris, and all his coworkers at Second Opinion. RC will also be deeply missed by all of his racing friends.
