Rian Hannah Lashley, 19, a beautiful loving daughter, granddaughter, niece, sister, cousin and friend, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Our sweet baby was born on May 3, 1994, in Bedford, Texas, daughter of devoted mother and best friend, Monica Murway, and adoring father, Joseph C. Lashley. She was an artist, our Star, tender and expressive, capable of such empathy and understanding. She passionately believed in the power of love and forgiveness, and had an amazing selfless ability for the empowerment of others. She loved music and played the keyboards and guitar beautifully. She sang always, since she was little, everywhere, and exquisitely. And she loved to draw and write stories. She loved movies, especially snuggled with her daddy. And too many sweet desserts with her mommy. She loved her family more than anything, and her friends. She radiated love. Bright and wonderful, she was a joy. Rian graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in downtown Dallas in 2012. Since, she’s been growing, discovering and enjoying life, as bright eyed and full of smiles as always. Rian is survived by her Mother, Monica Murway, Father, Joseph C. Lashley, stepmother, Stacey Lashley, stepfather, Jeremy Haak, brother, Christian Sharp, grandmother “Granny”, Margie Crawford, grandparents, Sue Miller and Ivan Paul Miller, aunt, Amy Shugert, uncle & aunt, Derick & Debbie Murway, cousins, Ashton, Myranda & Mia Murway, and so many more loving family and friends. We miss you, Baby Rian. We love you, our Star in the heavens. We’ll be looking for you, and listening for your song.
