Richard "Dick" Miller

MANSFIELD -- Richard George "Dick" Miller, formerly of Detroit, Mich., passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010, in Mansfield.       Memorial service: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield.        Memorials: Contributions may be made to your local humane society or the Mansfield Women's Club Scholarship Fund.       Dick was born Dec. 7, 1927. He proudly served in the United States Navy, a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion in Mansfield. Dick retired from Vought Aerospace Co. as manager of technical publications. He was also a member of Walnut Creek Country Club where he was known as "Doctor Detroit." Dick loved his many friends, jazz, golf, horses, a drink and his dogs.        He was a true humanist who was loved and loved his fellow man. He will be truly missed.       Survivors: Loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Ann; children, Marc (Lorna), Timothy (Susan), Susan (Kerry) Klein; grandchildren, Joseph and Alexandra; and many nieces and nephews.
