Robert Miles Murray

Robert Miles Murray, 74, entered into eternal peace on April 9, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones. Robert was born on July 15, 1940, a son of the late Robert and Bette Murray. He graduated from Blanchet High School in 1958 and spent four years in the Navy following high school. Robert married his wife Madelyn (Pickett) Murray in September of 1964. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Kirkland where Robert opened Kirkland Auto Parts, a business that he operated for over 35 years. Robert was deeply involved in the Kirkland community as a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, President of Kirkland American Little League, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Kirkland in addition to holding numerous coaching positions in the community. Robert will be remembered as a gentle and loving husband and father who always made time for others. In addition to the love of his life and wife, Madelyn, he is survived by his children Chris Murray (Kathy) and Theresa Murray Wright (Tim) and his seven grandchildren Ashley Coffin, Olivia and Miles Murray, Katie, Nicholas, Grant and Morgan Wright. He will be sorely missed by his siblings Susan Bergmann, Jim Murray and Tom Murray as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A service for Robert will be held on Saturday April 25 at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Colleyville, Texas.
