HURST -- Rosa Paiz Whatley, 67, passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2014. Service: Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment: 1 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, with rosary at 7. A native of Hebbronville, Rosa was born April 19, 1947, to Guillermo and Esther Cantu Paiz. Survivors: Husband, Byrl; daughters, Tish Ayala and husband, Juan, and Jessicca Foster and husband, Zac; grandchildren, Skyler and Jayden Ayala, and Austin, Jaxson and Kaya Foster; brothers, Victor Paiz and Oscar Paiz; and sisters, Belinda Paiz, Becky Pena and Cindy Cadena.
