Ruth Elaine Herl

Ruth Elaine Leiker Herl, 68, of Hurst Texas, formally of Hays passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born April 11,1946 in Hays, Kansas to Theobald and Loretta Leiker. Ruth was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a passion for animals and spent many years preparing youth for their first communions at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Hays and Saint Michael's Catholic Church in Bedford, Texas. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Tomi Herl of Hurst, Texas and grandchildren, Dawson and Dakota Bauman-Herl, nephew, Matthew Arrambidez, niece Pam Arrambidez, and ex-husband, Thomas Herl. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theobald and Loretta Leiker and brother, Robert Leiker. Services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 10:30am at Saint Michael's Catholic Church in Bedford Texas.
