 ???NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Ruth Helen Michener Woods, 79, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006. ??? Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at College Hill Church of Christ, 7447 College Circle, North Richland Hills. Mr. Robert Waller and Mr. Mark Samsill will officiate. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. ??? She graduated as valedictorian from Trimble Tech in 1944. She worked beside her first husband, John W. Michener, in growing their business, Michener Oil Co. John died in October 1984. She loved gardening, sewing and numerous acts of generosity for her family and friends. She was a member of College Hill Church of Christ for more than 40 years. ??? Ruth was preceded in death by her second husband, A.H. Woods, in February 2005. ??? Survivors: Her children, John Michener and his wife, Jan, of Hurst, Linda Michener of Fort Worth, Beverly Gibson of Irvine, Calif., and Larry Michener and his wife, Phyllis, of Decatur; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
