TROPHY CLUB -- Ryan Mitchell Gilmer was called to heaven on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ann Catholic Church, 108 Samuel Blvd., Coppell. Interment: Rolling Oaks Memorial Cemetery, 400 S. Freeport Parkway, Coppell. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall St., Grapevine. In his 17 years with us, Ryan touched our hearts and lives in many ways. He was a senior at Byron Nelson High School, enjoyed playing the trumpet in the band and was active in the Technology Student Association. Ryan had a passion for learning and planned to attend the University of Alabama to study engineering. He was insightful beyond his years and his big heart always saw the good in people. Ryan's life was a blessing, and he will be deeply missed. Survivors: Parents, Philip and Karen Gilmer; sisters, Lauren and Sarah Gilmer; and many loving extended family members and friends.
