HURST -- Sarah Louise Richmond Lane, 85, passed away Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009.        Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Visitation: The family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday.        Louise was born in Yanceyville, N.C., on July 17, 1924, to William and Lessie Richmond. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lawrence and Lindsey Richmond; and daughter, Delana Simber.        Survivors: Husband of 56 years, William "Bill" Lane; son, Howard Shotwell and wife, Sandy, of Hurst; son-in-law, Bernie Simber of Mebane, N.C.; grandsons, Dr. Rodney Shotwell and wife, Kimberly, of Reidsvile, N.C., David Shotwell and wife, Marnie, of Mebane, N.C., and Bernie Simber III and wife, Tammy, of Mebane, N.C.; and five great-grandsons.
