Sibyl Vander Weel

Sibyl “Pibbie” Vander Weel passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in Mandeville, LA. She was born on November 19, 1919 in Antelope, TX to the late John and Lucille Thomas Barrick. Sibyl married, the late, Jack J. Vander Weel on January 31, 1942 and together they had two children, Rick Vander Weel (Dianne) and Jackie V. May (Fred). Pibbie will be dearly missed by her two great grandchildren, Parker and Grayson. Sibyl was the sister of Johnnie Beimel and the late Anna Lois Hill. She is also survived by two nieces, Carol Fejes and Lori Perry. Sibyl dedicated herself to raising her family. She was a devoted lifelong member of the Baptist Church. Sibyl was an amazing lady and was an inspiration to all that knew her. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, TX 76053 from 9:00 until 11:00 AM.
