Sue Hood

Sue was born on May 3, 1958 in Tulsa, OK to the late John Carnahan and Betty (Gresh) Carnahan. Sue and her family moved to Oklahoma City at an early age. She attended Putnam City schools, graduating in 1976. While attending high school she met, Greg Hood. Greg and Sue married on December 23, 1976 in Oklahoma City, OK, and were blessed with 38 years together. The young couple moved to Mountain Home, ID in 1977 where they started their family. After three years, the couple moved briefly to Oklahoma City and Indianapolis until residing in Hurst, TX in 1985. Sue raised her three children and took care of the home most of her life. Sue enjoyed baking, doing crafts, gardening ("playing in the dirt") and traveling when she got the chance. Sue was a gift giver and was passionate about kids. She loved her family very much, especially her grandkids, who she loved to spoil every chance she got. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Greg Hood of the home in Hurst, TX; one son, Sean Hood, and his wife, Amber, of The Colony, TX; two daughters: Melissa McMinn and her husband, Zac, of Grove, OK, and Jennifer Cap and her husband, Gabe, of Oklahoma City, OK; five grandchildren: Madeline Hood and Aubrey Hood both of The Colony, TX, Preston McMinn, Hudson McMinn, and Connor McMinn all of Grove, OK; and a host of other relatives and friends.
