Suey Yang Passed away Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 in Houston, Texas. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Keller. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Lucas Funeral Home, Keller. Suey Yang of Keller, Texas, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Suey was a devoted wife and daughter, a loving mother who always put her children first in all things, and a proud grandmother. Born in China and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, she was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and Washington State University. Starting her career as a bio-chemist studying cancer, her research papers were published 8 times in peer-reviewed scientific journals such as Nature. She then moved on to a successful career in computer programming beginning with IBM, where she first worked on mainframe operating systems software, and then NASA’s space station software. She later worked on Fedex delivery systems, and ended her career as a Quality Assurance manager for Sabre’s Resource Management software. Daughter of Huan Wen Yang and Huei Sha Chu, Suey is survived by her husband, Greg J. Cring; a daughter and son-in-law, Heidi and Lance Kovar; a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Kimberly Lan; grandchildren Landon, Rylan, Madalyn, and Noah Kovar; sister-in-law Helen Yang; and nieces Francis, Susan, and Peggy Yang.
