Vada Schulz

HURST -- Vada Maudene Schulz, 91, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Chapel, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Vada, the daughter of Thomas R. and Enla Burge Rose, was born Feb. 23, 1918, in Rio Vista. Vada was a faithful and active member of Brown Trail Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends. Survivors: Daughters, Sue Tate and husband, Roger, Charlotte Dragoo and husband, John; grandchildren, Laura Dargoo, Brenda Burns, Nelson Tate; great-granddaughter, Angela Burns.
