Vickey Lynn Lee Donald

Vickie Lynn Lee Donald was born on December 14, 1953, in Tyler, Texas, to the late John Edward Lee and Vassie Lee. From an early age, Vickie was known for her warm spirit, beautiful smile, and loving heart. 

She never met a stranger, and her kindness, generosity, and ability to make everyone feel welcome left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Vickie graduated from Polytechnic High School with the Class of 1972 before attending Fort Worth Beauty and Cosmetology School. She dedicated more than 15 years to the beauty industry, where she not only helped others look and feel their best but also built lifelong friendships with clients and coworkers who became like family.

She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Leroy Donald Jr., who preceded her in death. Together they built a life rooted in love, faith, and devotion to family.

Family was Vickie's greatest joy. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children, Shinisa Donald and Christian Donald-Haynes; her brothers, Milton Lee and Leilaind "Quincy" Lee; her nieces and nephews, Makayla (Lee) Coleman, Gail Lee, Reginald Lee Jr., and Isaiah Thomas; her bonus grandson, Christian R. Haynes along with many extended family members, treasured friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edward Lee and Vassie Lee; her husband, Leroy Donald Jr.; her brothers, Gerald LaDreek Lee and Reginald Keith Lee Sr.; her sister, Shonda "Tasha" Donald, Evelyn Lee; and her beloved fur granddaughter, Bailee Donald.

Vickie had a smile that could brighten any room and a laugh that was simply contagious. She loved spending time with her family, cooking meals that brought everyone together especially her famous potato salad, traveling, and creating memories with the people she loved.

She found joy in the simple things: binge-watching television series, playing games on her phone, taking family photos, and spoiling her beloved dogs. Watching a great show was only half the fun; the other half was excitedly calling or texting family and friends to talk about it, often sharing a spoiler or two before they had the chance to catch up.

A woman of remarkable strength and unwavering faith, Vickie courageously battled breast cancer with grace, resilience, and hope. Through every season of life, she remained selfless, always placing the needs of others before her own and loving her family and friends unconditionally.

Vickie's greatest legacy is the love she poured into her family and friends. She taught those around her the importance of compassion, perseverance, and finding joy in life's everyday moments. Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, generous heart, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

As we celebrate Vickie's life, we give thanks for the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the legacy she leaves behind. Though she will be deeply missed, her beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 3:00pm to 7:00PM at Williams and Lucas Funeral Home, 517 N. Sylvania Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76111. Funeral service will be Friday, July 31 2026 at 10:00AM at Williams and Lucas Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 8301 Mansfield Hwy,  Arlington, TX., 76001.
