CEDAR HILL -- Vicki Ruth Broussard, 58, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Funeral: 11 a.m., Saturday, at First Baptisst Church, 1800 E. Broad St., Mansfield. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Vicki was our angel on earth. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 7, 1952 to the late Addie Ruth and George McDonald. She grew up in Mansfield and has lived in the Dallas area throughout her adult life. Vicki graduated from Mansfield High School in 1971; then later attended Hill Junior College. She has been employed by Blue Cross/Blue Shield for twenty-seven years. Vicki was a precious beautiful child of God who had a strong faith and personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. She was currently attending Crossroads Christian Church in Grand Prairie. Vicki's faith and her family were the most important things in her life. She was always taking care of others, putting family and friends needs before her own, leaving behind a beautiful testimony and legacy of unconditional and selflessness. Vicki enjoyed swimming with her grandkids and attending their events, traveling with her husband, Cyrus. Vicki's beautiful smile and contagious laugh could light up any room. She had such a fun loving spirit and was always full of surprises. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Addie and George McDonald; brother, Robert McDonald; and brother-in-law, Jason Broussard. Survivors: Her husband of 13 years, Cyrus J. Broussard; daughters, Amber Richards and her husband, John, and Carli Smith and her fiance, Mike Blalock; grandchildren, Colton Richards, Miranda and Cooper Smith; brother, George Ronald McDonald; sister-in-law, Vicky; stepfather, Kenneth Lile; half brother, G W McDonald and his wife, Yvonne; half sister, Joann Davenport and her husband, Hal; and sisters-in-law, Margaret Farris, Melissa Broussard and Nan Broussard.
