Viola Blackstone

BEDFORD -- Viola Blackstone passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd., Hurst. Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Viola was a member of Brown Trail Church of Christ and the widow of J.T. Blackstone, a longtime Church of Christ minister. She was a devoted Christian woman and a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her son, James, and her husband, J.T., preceded her in death. Survivors: Sons, Warren Blackstone and John D. Blackstone and his wife, Maureen; grandchildren, Bret, Clint, Michelle, David, Paul, Jimmy, Annette and Pamela; and 14 great-grandchildren.
