HURST -- Virgil Homer Fluty, 91, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015. Funeral: 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Lane “B”. Visitation: Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Virgil was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Fluty; parents, Solomon Fluty and Elsie Harmon Fluty and brother, Luther Fluty and sister, Velva Fluty Robinette. Survivors: Sons, Art Fluty and wife Sue, Ervin Fluty and wife Karen; siblings: John Fluty of Akron OH., Melvin Fluty of Elk City, OK., Effie Fluty Burns of Akron OH., Calvin Fluty of Quincy, LA., and Jessie Marie Short of NC.; grandchildren: Jeff Fluty and wife Andrea of Allen, Andrew Fluty and wife Brooke of Fort Worth and Taylor Fluty of Bedford; great-grandchildren, Vivian and Grayson; and loving niece and "Best Friend", Justine Bratcher.
