ARLINGTON -- Virginia Ruth Johnson went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 13, 2008. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Arlington First Church of the Nazarene, 1301 W. Green Oaks, Arlington. Visitation: 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the church. Memorials: Contributions may be sent to the Church of the Nazarene Tonga Mango Tree center for disabled children. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Edith Freeman, and five sisters. Survivors: Husband of 62 years, Elwin M. Johnson; children, Mary Loewen and husband, Rodney, James Johnson and wife, Joy, and Shawn Hanley and husband, Ted; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and sister, Alta Thomas.
