NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- William Ezra Merrill, 88, passed away peacefully at home Monday, Nov. 29, 2011.        Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday in Lucas Funeral Chapel, 1329 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. The Rev. Betsy Godbold will officiate. Interment 1:15 p.m. Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.        William was born June 5, 1923, in Gulfport, Miss. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during World War II. He was a retired aeronautical engineer for Vought and was a member of the Faith Builders Sunday School Class at Whites Chapel United Methodist Church and the Primetimers at Davis United Methodist Church.        Survivors: Wife, Erema Merrill; stepchildren, Karl, Roger and Steven Hughes; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mamie Price Petty; and extended family.
